-In Action:
Cavitation Effect:
the process of formation of milions of gas bubbles in the im gation solution. These gas bubbles grow in size, oscillate in differ ent directions and explode into the liquid, producing powerful cleaning action
Acoustic Streaming:
a unidirectional fow of liquid produced by ultrasonic waves. Move ment of sp produces special effect called acoustic turbulence which accelerates the movement in liquid inade the root canal
-Protocol:
1.Prepare the root canal up to required size with the help of thaping and finishing instruments
2.Choose the desired disinfectant and flushing agents for deaning, debridement and disinfection of canals
3.Fill the chosen irration solution into the canal, never run Ultra X without ingating solution
4.Select the ultra X sip of desired size and length which passively fits into canal, always keep2-3mm short of apex
5.Activate solution using short vertical up & down strokes for 30 seconds. Be careful to
not breach apical 2mm
6.Use the device gently and never apply pressure or wedge the tip inside the canal, if any points of resistance, then retrieve the ultrasonic tip
7.Replenish the irrigating solution, use suction to remove the loose debris. Repeat the
cycle & to 5 times
8.Completely dry the canal and fill it with choice of obturation material
Note: It is always recommended to isolate the tooth using rubber dam and use personal protective barriers like head geit mask, eyeglasses etc
